Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer 1:1 tutoring sessions?

I appreciate you thinking of me and trusting me to teach your child. Unfortunately, at this time, I do not offer individual tutoring sessions. However, I recommend joining my mailing list for my most up-to-date learning resources, announcements to new podcasts, and sneak-peek to any services I may offer in the future. If you'd like more specific feedback in regards to your child, I encourage you to fill out the contact form to set up a consultation.

Do you teach anything other than reading lessons?

At this time, I am focusing on helping children learn to read and spell through The Young Learning Reading Program. However, I may add on additional services in the future. I highly recommend signing up for the mailing list for announcements of new services and podcasts, tips, learning tools and more.

Would you be willing to speak/teach to a group?

My goal is to empower not only children to learn to read, but also empower teachers and parents to advocate for this generation and those that follow. If you would like me to come to your school/church/preschool /panel/seminar/group to speak to a group about teaching effective reading strategies or advocating for academic success, please contact me directly by email.

What Others Are Saying

“I successfully homeschooled two children and felt confident in my skills as I continued my homeschooling journey with my third child. As I began to recognize differences in learning and began reaching out to peers for guidance, the Lord led us to Tavia. Without Tavia, I am not sure our homeschooling journey would have been able to continue as I felt terribly inadequate to teach my child with dyslexia and dysgraphia. I will always hold Tavia dear in my heart as she nurtured my child and mentored me. She gave me direction on curriculum and fed me wisdom and encouragement on a weekly basis. She was a blessing to our entire family. My child is now reading small chapter books on his own and the foundation for that success was laid with Tavia."

“My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia in the middle of the pandemic. Our heads were spinning trying to figure out the best school option for her, while navigating so many unknowns. Tavia met with us, reviewed our daughters assessment and outlined the many school options that would be a fit for her. She helped us understand her needs and how she learns best to then point out the different pros and cons of the different school options in our area. She helped to ease our minds and narrow down our options and choices. She was the biggest and most valuable resource in a time of a lot of unknowns. We are forever grateful for her guidance and support!"
