For years, I've witnessed a systematic decline in the effectiveness of public education and a rising number of parents looking for answers. Did you know there is a "right way" and a "wrong way" to learn to read? Our brains are not wired at birth to understand reading and writing; therefore, it needs to be taught. Children learn to read best when the process is broken down into easy-to-follow (and fun) steps. To become confident readers, children must achieve proficiency in each foundational skill before progressing to the next. If one piece of the puzzle isn't mastered, a hole is left in the child's learning creating a problem that can compound over time.
